In October, the Upstate Chapter will begin its BB rifle teams. participation is open to youths 10 years of age and older. Our teams are sponsored by Wildlife Action and 4H. Parents will take an active part in coaching the team members. Family membership in the WLA Upstate Chapter is required for all BB Rifle Team members.

We also have certified administrators for South Carolina’s Hunter Safety Course. Concerned parties may check the following web site for testing locations and schedules as well as self testing prior to taking the test.   http://www.hunter-ed.com/sc/

Hunter education is not just for kids and not just for hunters. The program is for all folks who enjoy the outdoors and have an interest in conservation. The course can also be a refresher for veteran hunters.

LAW: All residents and non-residents born after June 30, 1979, must complete a hunter education course before a hunting license can be obtained.
